To make a gift in memory is a wonderful way to remember a loved one while making an enormous difference to the people who rely on The Royal Melbourne Hospital each year.

Your donation can be directed to an area of the hospital which has a specific meaning to you or you may prefer to direct it to the area which needs it most. Gifts in memory will help continue our history of supporting the Royal Melbourne Hospital.

We will send a tax deductible receipt to every person who makes a donation in memory at the funeral service, and we will send you, or the nominated next of kin, a summary of everyone that has made a donation in memory.

Request donations in memory at a funeral service

Requesting donations in lieu of flowers at the funeral service of your loved one allows family, friends and guests to give a meaningful gift to the future of cancer research. An effective way of letting your guests know of your wishes prior to the service is to include the following words in the funeral notice:

“In lieu of flowers, donations in memory can be made to the Royal Melbourne Hospital Foundaion, Locked Bag 800, Carlton South Vic 3053”

We will send a tax deductible receipt to every person who makes a donation in memory at the funeral service, and we will send you, or the nominated next of kin, a summary of everyone that has made a donation in memory.Your funeral director can arrange to have Royal Melbourne Hospital donation envelopes at the service, or please feel free to place an online request with us directly via info@rmhfoundation.org.au.
